Dubai CommerCity, the region’s first free zone dedicated exclusively to digital commerce—a joint venture between DIEZ and Wasl Properties—achieved exceptional growth across its digital trade operations in 2023. Its digital trade platform saw a 158% surge in completed orders, the transit portal (DCC Way) handled 56% more goods, and freight shipments from its distribution centres increased by 92% year-over-year .
These outstanding results highlight Dubai’s status as a global digital economy hub and align with the broader Dubai Economic Agenda D33 to expand GDP and attract foreign direct investment. Dubai CommerCity reinforced its strategic shift toward digital commerce, offering integrated services like advisory, digital platforms, logistics solutions, warehousing, and last-mile delivery, all housed within a 2.1 million sqft, AED 3.2 billion development.
