Gemma Spence has spent the last 12 years in Global Commerce Leadership with experience client side, retail, and agencies cutting across the end-to-end eCommerce value chain of management and strategic channel planning. She has most recently worked as the Chief Commerce Officer at PHD in Omnicom Media Group where she set up Transact, a global eCommerce advisory unit with over 130 consultants using behavioural economics to predict drivers of consumer selection & choice. The company’s services and techniques have helped numerous clients achieve considerable sales growth. Over the years Gemma has consulted with the FMCG, automotive beauty and run eCommerce operations in house for consumer electronics brands, covering the whole end-to-end value chain that is needed for eCommerce success. Gemma was recently recognised as one of CIO Magazines 20 Businesswomen of 2021, Management Today’s 35 Women Under 35, a Mediatel’s Future Media Leader, and has helped shape many of the ecommerce standards and awards together with some of the industry’s biggest names. Gemma is a mentor, contributing editor for WARC & Econsultancy and has just graduated with from her EMBA at University of Oxford.
