Protecting children’s data is one of the most complex, least understood, and most perilously underestimated areas of privacy. And it’s a concern for every company, whether they think they handle children’s data or not (because they do) and an area crucial for marketers to understand and address carefully, since getting it wrong can wreak havoc on a company’s reputation. This session will address the key issues for marketers and businesses, including:
• What constitutes children’s data?
• How do laws differ in the UK and elsewhere regarding children and teens – and why is this a moving target?
• What safeguards must companies put in place to protect, preserve, and prevent illegal use of children’s data?
